Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 conquistou mais um importante reconhecimento ao ser eleito o Jogo do Ano nos Indie Game Awards 2025. O título desenvolvido pela Sandfall Interactive superou uma forte concorrência que incluía produções como Hollow Knight: Silksong e Hades 2.

A premiação, organizada pelo coletivo Six One Indie, é um dos reconhecimentos mais prestigiados do cenário independente. O evento deste ano contou com a apresentação de três nomes respeitados da indústria: a compositora de Celeste, Lena Raine, a co-fundadora da Outerloop, Chandana Ekanayake, e o músico Chipzel.

A vitória de Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 intensificou o debate sobre sua classificação como indie. Apesar de ter sido publicado por uma grande publicadora (Tripwire) e contar com um orçamento considerável, o jogo foi desenvolvido com recursos significativamente menores comparados aos resultados obtidos. Esta questão ganhou ainda mais relevância após o título levar o prêmio principal em uma cerimônia dedicada a jogos independentes.
